Cholesterol Causes COVID-19 Deaths

Updated: Aug 13, 2020

I'm practicing creating provocative and misleading headlines so maybe I'll get a job as a journalist!

Most American physicians have been indoctrinated into a belief about cholesterol that, unfortunately, blinds them from the other, more relevant truths.

As Mark Twain said, "It's easier to be fooled than to be convinced you have been fooled."

For us, as potential patients of this system, it is cause for alarm.

I'm finalizing a paper on COVID, chronic diseases, and measurement of inflammation. No question, cytokines (inflammation) and the strength of your innate immune system are fundamental to favorable or poor outcomes in both cases - chronic diseases and COVID - no difference. I'm making the case for the chronic disease temperature (our biomarker panel) as the right panel to be used in the standard of care. In so doing, I decided to look at cholesterol (lipids) in COVID. Here is what I found:

American Angle:

Headline: Cholesterol could be the culprit in COVID-19 deaths

Finding: High levels of cholesterol found in the lungs

Conclusion: High cholesterol causes you to die from COVID

Chinese Angle:

Headline: Hypolipidemia is associated with the severity of COVID-19. (hypo is low)

Finding: People with systemically low cholesterol die from COVID

Conclusion: Depletion of cholesterol is a severe risk of poor COVID outcomes

Harvard site on the importance of cholesterol:

cholesterol is essential for human health. It is the building block of steroid hormones, including the stress hormone cortisol and the male and female sex hormones, including testosterone and the estrogens. Cholesterol is also an essential component of the membranes that surround all human cells. More than simply holding cells together, these membranes have a crucial role in regulating cell function and allowing chemicals to pass into and out of cells.

How can medical community be at complete odds on the most basic topics of health? $$

Lewis interpretation:

  • The lungs are suffering great damage and recruiting cholesterol to rebuild tissue - thus the high cholesterol in the lungs.

  • In so doing, cholesterol reserves are being consumed, thus low systemic cholesterol status.

  • Death and severe disease occur because of poor repair and recovery, precipitated in part by the lack of cholesterol

The American doctor (pictured here) smiling so brightly over the "proof" that high cholesterol is bad - is completely wrong.

Next Chronic Disease Support seminar - Monday at noon.

It's not too late to join this program. I'll send any newbies a link to past presentations....

Stay Well
